The "Sallies" observatory out on the Everglades, Everglade trips, Miami, Fla.

Captain William L. Burch built this tower in 1907, on the south side of the Miami River above the rapids. His tour boat, the Sallie, brought sightseers up the river to view the Everglades from the tower.
