Fort Dallas (Miami, Fla.)
Fort Dallas barracks during move to Lummus Park,
1925 April 21.
During the real estate boom of 1925, the Fort Dallas barracks were moved to Lummus Park, near downtown Miami, to make way for new construction. This photograph reveals that the "move" was more accurately a demolition and reconstruction using the same materials.
