Buildings on Avenue D (Miami, Fla.), 1896.

Miami's business district started on Avenue D (Miami Avenue). On July 28, 1896, on the second floor of the Lobby, residents met and voted to incorporate as a city. Most of these buildings burned in the December 1896 fire.
