Miami River

photo

J. Horace McFarland Company.
Miami [River] Fla. from Carrdale Tower looking over Everglades.
1913 March 22.

Miami River and Musa Isle (left) looking west to the Everglades. Headwaters of the river and location of the rapids are visible in the near background.

The 90-ft. tall Cardale observation tower was built in 1912 and collapsed before 1919. The road crossing the river is probably present-day 27th Avenue.
