The 2009 issue of Tequesta is an anthology of articles about Black history in the Miami area. Here are a few extras that did not make it into the printed journal.
“Funky Nights,” by Eve Reed, first appeared in South Florida History, v. 21, no. 2, in Spring/Summer 1993. It quickly became one of the most popular articles ever published in the magazine.
