What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is a gift beyond membership that helps sustain the Historical Museum of Southern Florida’s (HMSF) day-to-day operations and funds the museum’s greatest needs. Gifts that are unrestricted are the most helpful, but designated gifts also augment particular HMSF offerings.

I am already a member, why does HMSF ask us for a gift?
Membership is a special way for you to be involved with HMSF, providing you and your family with many benefits.  A gift beyond membership provides fundamental and immediate support that is needed to continue making strides toward excellence in fulfilling our mission of preservation, collection and education.

Is my gift tax-deductible?
Your gift is tax-deductible according to IRS regulations. You will receive a tax receipt from HMSF upon making your gift.  See a unique opportunity for those who wish to give directly from their IRA on the back of this form.

Can I make a gift in memory or in honor of someone?
Yes, you can.  Your tribute gift may be recognized in our Annual Fund, or in our Endowment.  A book in our Research Center may also be dedicated on your behalf.  If appropriate, the individual being recognized will be notified of the gift.  Please contact the Development Office at 305.375.1615  or e-mail development@hmsf.org for more information. 

Can I make a gift for a specific purpose?
Yes, you can.  In addition to your gift that provides general support to HMSF, you may designate a gift in support of a specific area or department (education, collections, research, exhibitions and publications). 

Can my gift be made anonymously?
Yes, it can.  When you send your gift, please let us know that you would like it to remain anonymous and we are happy to honor your request.
