EVERGLADES INDIANS

Beginning in the 1910s, Seminoles and Miccosukees divided their time between tourist attraction villages and secluded camps on tree islands in the Everglades and Big Cypress Swamp. This photograph was probably shot at Musa Isle, on the Miami River.
