Tropical Explorers Summer Camp is a unique program designed to engage campers, ages 6 to 12, in thematic activities that allow them to learn while having fun. Campers will be given the opportunity to be creative, explore new worlds, develop new interests and make new friends.

Tropical Explorers Summer Camp features:

• Highly skilled and motivated educators and counselors
• Single day camp on June 6
• Weekly camps begin June 9
• Different themes each week
• Indoor and outdoor hands-on activities, including imaginative arts and crafts, drama, music and gallery-based programs
• Weekly field trips to historic and environmental sites around South Florida
• Secure, air-conditioned and convenient down town location across from Government Center Metrorail Station

Brown Bag Breaks: Historic Herbs

Tuesday, July 1/12-1 pm

Miguel A. Cisneros of the Redland Fruit and Spice Park and the Redland Evening Herbal Society shares an interactive presentation on various herbs, their medicinal uses and what to plant at home to relieve what ails you.  Additionally, sharing her knowledge of the historic use of herbs in Florida’s prehistory will be Dr. Michelle Williams, Director of the S.E. Region Public Archaeology Network.
